Villa Kamares is located in the tranquil and picturesque village of Panormo located in northern Crete. Built in 1912 and previously a family house owned by a Cretan couple named Kostas and Evangeline Honianakis, the building was purchased by an English couple, Chris and Laura Firth in 2008. They fell in love with the village of Panormo and its people and had a dream to restore the building to its former glory whilst respecting the tradition and style of the area and to bring people of all nationalities to Panormo to enjoy the special village they fell in love with.

Chris and Laura renovated the villa with advice from their Cretan friends in the village over the following eight years and during the summer of 2016 Villa Kamares opened its doors for the first time as two rented apartments over two floors. 2019 saw the addition of a third spacious apartment, Helios, with a large sun terrace.
